Plastic surgery is a painful job, and it’s not for everyone.
However, that doesn’t mean it’s something you should take for granted.
A nurse at a hospital in China has revealed how a plastic surgeon has made it look like she can “eat a bag of chips” during surgery.
Suzanne Cheng, who has been with the Shanghai Plastic Surgery Institute for three years, says her first day at work, a nurse brought her a bag containing “about three bags of chips”.
The nurse said she was told the chips were a “procedure to prepare the patient for surgery”.
Ms Cheng said she felt relieved when she realised the nurses job was actually “a bit scary” as she “hadn’t been to a plastic surgery centre in a long time”.
“I felt really relieved when I got there and the nurse said ‘I know this is a bit scary, but there are procedures to prepare a patient for a surgery.'”
That’s when I realised I had to go to the surgery centre to prepare myself,” Ms Cheng told the South China Morning Post.
Ms Cheng has since gone on to have more than 200 operations, all performed under supervision.
The surgeon has been given a six-month suspended jail sentence and ordered to pay her a total of 7,200 yuan ($1,000).
